About
Residential design shaped around the way we live.
Founded in 2007, Architrix is a Vancouver-based residential design studio focused on custom homes, renovations and small multi-family developments.

Our work is driven by the relationships between space, light, material, everyday living and the environment. We believe a home should support relaxation, revitaliaztion and wellbeing. With this in mind we collaborate closely with our clients to design spaces that are calm, functional and connected with how they live, what they value and how their needs will evolve over time.
Alongside design, we place strong importance on technical precision, buildability and affordability. We stay current with evolving construction methods, performance standards and emerging products/ technologies to ensure our projects are optimized for performance, longevity, and value. We are conscious of the environmental impact of housing and take on the responsibility of stewardship to design harmonious spaces that minimize ecological footprints, conserve natural resources, and foster regenerative living for future generations.
Khang Q. Nguyen - Principal
I believe in a simple, practical and environmentally conscious approach to living and I bring this into the work I do at Architrix Studio. To remove the complexities of our daily grind and to focus on what is important to us is the core of my practice. My role is to provide insightful guidance and environmental awareness into the process of conceiving and planning the place you call home. When I am not working, I make sure I leave the digital world and get into the natural world.
Janvin Lowe - Residential Designer
With over fifteen years of deep-rooted experience in Metro Vancouver’s residential design sector, Janvin brings an extensive toolkit of technical expertise to Architrix Studio. His career includes foundational years mastering custom single-family frameworks, alongside a five-year chapter running his own independent design firm. Today, Janvin serves as a vital senior anchor for the studio, steering project logistics and mentoring the team through the technical nuances of local zoning, building codes, and wood frame construction. He is deeply passionate about three-dimensional space planning, always looking beyond the 2D page to explore how spatial volumes shape the way people experience a home. Outside the drafting board, he brings a grounded business perspective, an approachable sense of humour, and a newfound passion for exploring Metro Vancouver’s gravel trails on two wheels.
Bryden Scott - Residential Designer
I am a residential designer dedicated to crafting functional, high-performance, and deeply personalized homes. My work bridges the clean lines of West Coast Modernism with building methodologies that endure. Heavily inspired by regional architecture and sustainable, high-efficiency construction, I draw equally from time-tested historical practices to ensure every home is built for longevity.
When I’m not at the drafting board, you can find me exploring other creative outlets as a songwriter/musician, or carving down mountain trails and city paths on a snowboard or a bicycle, depending on the season.
Alejandro Moncada - Residential Designer
I was always the crayons and Lego kid. I spent my time sketching little floor plans, building small worlds, and imagining how spaces could come together. Years later, the crayons became digital tools, but the intention stayed the same. The more intelligent our tools become, the more human our architecture must be. A designer is, at heart, a kind of dreamer someone who turns imagination into places that bring people together, support everyday life, and make people feel at home.
Jorge Acosta - Residential Designer
I grew up in a small town in northern Mexico, where vernacular architecture was a natural part of everyday life. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, I worked on a variety of residential projects, gaining practical experience in both design and construction. Later, I moved to Spain to complete a Master’s degree in Design and Innovation, where I developed a strong interest in interior design and architectural visualization. Outside of work, I enjoy architectural photography, music, and exploring new food experiences.

I developed a passion for art from a young age, which naturally led me toward architecture. After earning my Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, I focused on residential design, always bringing my own aesthetic vision and approach to each project. I enjoy exploring new materials, forms, and details while creating functional homes that feel comfortable and meaningful for everyday life.
Today, I dedicate myself to design and photography, constantly seeking inspiration through travel, new cultures, and different lifestyles that continue to enrich me both personally and professionally.
